The Swiss Library Service Platform’s strategy for 2026 to 2029 focuses on creating reliable, open and future-proof digital knowledge spaces in Switzerland.
In an era of ever-growing volumes of information and AI-supported systems, SLSP is enhancing access to verifiable, contextualised knowledge. The strategy prioritises user-oriented services for academic libraries, targeted innovation promotion — particularly in the field of AI — and fostering strong partnerships within the information ecosystem. At the same time, SLSP is promoting digital autonomy, data literacy, and sustainable solutions for physical and digital collections. SLSP understands sustainability as a cross-cutting issue in ecological, social and economic terms. Developed in collaboration with libraries and partners, the strategy will form the basis for the further development of the national library infrastructure until 2029.
The Swiss Library Service Platform (SLSP) is a service provider for libraries and together with them operates the national library platform swisscovery, which bundles scientific information from currently 500 libraries in Switzerland.
